VOIR Held an Extended Meeting on the Theme: “Creating New Breakthrough Technologies for the Russian Defense Industry. Experience. Problems. Solutions.”
On September 25, an extended meeting of the Moscow City Council of the All-Russian Public-State Organization VOIR was held in Moscow. The meeting took place in the Board Hall of Rospatent at Berezhkovskaya Embankment, 24, building 1. It was held jointly with the Committee for Inventive, Rationalization, and Patent-Licensing Activities of the “League for Assistance to Defense Enterprises” Association.
The meeting addressed the following issues:
- creating new VOIR inventor collectives at defense industry enterprises;
- presenting participants’ innovative projects and inventions in the collective exposition at the International Salon of Inventions and New Technologies “New Time” in Sevastopol. The exhibition operator of the exposition is ArchimedesExpo LLC;
- awarding members of the Moscow VOIR organization for their high contribution to the creation of breakthrough technologies;
- creating new inventor collectives in the city of Moscow.
The meeting was attended by of the Moscow Branch Council of the All-Russian Public-State Organization VOIR, members of the Committee for Inventive, Rationalization, and Patent-Licensing Activities of the “League for Assistance to Defense Enterprises” Association, and representatives of defense industry organizations and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
Welcoming remarks were delivered by:
- Dmitry Ivanovich Zezyulin, Chairman of the Council of the Moscow Branch of VOIR;
- Vasily Vasilyevich Elistratov, Chief Adviser of the Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation for State Policy in the Defense-Industrial Complex;
- Vladimir Alekseevich Kulikov, Chairman of the Sevastopol Branch Council of VOIR, President of the International Salon of Inventions and New Technologies “New Time.”
During the meeting, decisions were made to create inventor collectives at Moscow Machine-Building Plant “Avangard” JSC and the Scientific and Technical Center “Diaprom” JSC.
Via a direct link between Moscow and Sevastopol, innovative projects were presented to the meeting participants and the International Jury members of the Salon. The projects were presented on behalf of the following organizations: the Black Sea Higher Naval School named after P.S. Nakhimov, Russian University of Transport, NIAS JSC, the 25th State Research Institute of Chemotology of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, UOMZ Production Association JSC, the 12th Central Research Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, the Institute of Agrobiotechnologies named after A.V. Zhuravsky, the Military Academy of the Strategic Missile Forces named after Peter the Great, the 16th Central Research Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, the Military Academy of Information Protection named after Army General S.M. Shtemenko, the Federal Research Center Komi Scientific Center of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the branch of the Military Academy of the Strategic Missile Forces named after Peter the Great in Serpukhov.
All innovative projects and inventions received high praise from the International Jury members. They also generated professional interest among the meeting participants.
The result was the awarding of high honors, prizes, medals, and diplomas of the XXII International Salon of Inventions and New Technologies “New Time.” These were awarded to participants who presented their projects at the meeting. The participants will also have opportunities to introduce their developments into production and use them in the interests of the state.
The organizers of the event express their gratitude for assistance in holding the meeting to the staff of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property and personally to its director, Oleg Petrovich Neretin and also thank Vladimir Alekseevich Kulikov, President of the International Salon of Inventions and New Technologies “New Time,” as well as all exhibitors who presented their projects and developments at the presentation.
