From October 25 to 27, 2024, the 12th Macao International Innovation and Invention Expo 2024 (MiiEX-2024) was held at the Macau Forum exhibition hall (Macau, People's Republic of China).

This year's exhibition was attended by representatives from more than 50 provinces and cities along the Taiwan Strait, as well as more than 20 countries, including various invention organizations, schools, enterprises and individuals. A total of 587 entries were submitted, which set a record number of entries, an increase of 64 compared to last year. And out of them, 223 works participated in the offline competition, and 364 - online.

The offline exhibition was attended by more than 60 exhibitors from six countries, including Russia, Romania, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.
The International Innovation Club "Archimedes" gathered Russian inventors and patent holders on their collective stand at the exhibition. Russian participants demonstrated 11 projects of the following organizations to the scientific and technical community:

1. JSC NIIAS (Research Institute in Moscow)
2. JSC VNIIZhT (Railway Research Institute of JSC Russian Railways)
3. PJSC Tupolev (Russian company for design, manufacture and post-sale support of missile carrier bombers and special purpose aircraft)
4. JSC Alrosa (World’s leading diamond mining company)
5. The State University of Land Use Planning
6. Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation
7. Tver State Medical University

More than 140 experts and scholars from across the Taiwan Strait and around the world were brought together to form a strong panel of judges, ensuring fairness and trust in the selection process. Thus, thanks to the efforts of the judging team, a total of 287 gold, 204 silver and 96 bronze awards were awarded at this competition.

Following the results of the 12th International Exhibition of Innovations and Inventions in Macau (MiiEX), Russian inventors received certificates, gold and silver medals from the organizing committee.

The international jury also awarded 28 major honorary awards in various categories. As a result of the jury’s work, participants from JSC Alrosa won the cup in the category “Best Belt and Road Initiative”, as well as special prizes from Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (Romania), Korea University Invention Association (Korea), World Invention Intellectual Property Association (Taiwan), Hong Kong Dream Technology and Innovation Society (Hong Kong).

On October 26, 2024, a large-scale road show took place on the stage of “MIIEX 2024”, which demonstrated the works in the collective exposition of Russian inventors and manufacturers of innovative products, as well as the projects of Russian winners in the competition program of the Global Invention Forum “GIF-2024” that took place recently.
During the exhibition, the President of the International Innovation Club "Archimedes" Dmitry Zezyulin discussed the prospects for cooperation between Russian and Chinese inventors with representatives of the Chinese innovation community.

In the negotiations participated:

• Yu Huarong – Executive Vice President and General Secretary of the China Inventors Association;
• Danny Lai Pak Keon – President of the Macau Innovation and Invention Association;
• Hengzin Joyce Zhou – Deputy General Director of the International Operations Department of the International Intellectual Property Exchange Center;
• Eddie Shea – Director of International Development, World Invention and Intellectual Property Association (WIIPA);
• Lee Yuen – Chairman of the Hong Kong Federation of Innovative Technology and Manufacturing Industry.

The main areas of interaction that have been outlined for the near future: the interaction and cooperation of the inventive community of our countries; organizing joint congress and exhibition events for the Russian and Chinese innovation communities.
