From 15^th to 16^th of October 2024 the 5^th Anniversary Global Invention Forum was held online. At the Forum 230 projects from 26 countries were presented.
Russian inventors and manufacturers of innovative products took an active part in the competition program. The team of Russian inventors was represented by the following organizations:

• Jsс “RM Rail Engineering”
• Kuban State Technological University
• Moscow State University of Technology “STANKIN”
• Komi Scientific Center of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences

Based on the results of the Forum’s competition program, the International Jury, headed by Dr. Yoshiro NakaMats (Japan), awarded them silver and gold medals of the Forum, and also awarded special prizes to the following nominees:

• GIF 2024 Grand Prix: Moscow State University of Technology «STANKIN», for the project: «Magnetron sputtering device», the authors are Metel Alexander Sergeevich, Grigoriev Sergey Nikolaevich, Volosova Marina Aleksandrovna, Melnik Yuri Andreevich, Mustafaev Enver Serverovich.
• GIF 2024 Special Prize for the protection of the environment: Kuban State Technological University, for the project: «Ball valve», the authors are Samarin Mikhail Anatolyevich, Balaev Etibar Yusif Ogly, Shostak Nikita Andreevich.
• IFIA «Best Invention Medal»:Institute of Agrobiotechnologies of the Komi Scientific Center of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, for the project «Obtaining local livestock with an increased level of viability in the conditions of the Far North and the Arctic and characteristics of the development of the meat products subcomplex»; the authors are Nikolaev Semyon Viktorovich, Yudin Andrey Alekseevich, Tarabukina Tatyana Vasilievna.
